Herder Carbon Steel Paring Knife
The Herder paring knife is made of non-stainless, high quality carbon steel, also known as a Mill Blade. The handmade knife is designed to last for at least 20 years. Dark discolouration of the blade after a long period of use is completely safe and normal, and is the typical working colour of high quality carbon steel.
Clean the knife immediately after use to best preserve its quality. Not dishwasher safe.
Watch out you don't throw away your knife with away the potato peel! The wood staple has a similar color as the peel. A solution is to provide the staple with a nice fiery color.

De "Molenmessen" worden nog steeds met de hand geslepen volgens het principe van de aloude traditionele "Solinger Dünschliff", in tegenstelling tot de meeste messen van vandaag de dag.
